Here guys, my bud Alain motivated me in giving you some more pics of where i'm at on no 2, the kerfed linings are glued in along with the side braces. Last night, i have inlayed a rope strip in the middle of the back and started cleaning the mess made with HHG while glueing my top braces. My go bar deck is now on wheels and is secured on top of that rolling table

Here are the pics

Guess what i'll be doing with that nice chunk of meat!

Serge

Sorry for the redundancy of my pics but everytime i have a great evening at the shop, i feel like taking more pics of what i'm really proud of!

Thanks Terry, the bottom layers are 3/4" plywood and the top one is 1" thick kitchen laminated table top, i'm glad it came from another kitchen than ours, my wife would have killed me for sure!

Thanks

Serge

Thanks Shane, hopefully, i'd like to have it completed before the fall, who knows, a couple of great evenings and some productive week ends and i could be able to play with it this summer!

Hang in there bud, you're gonna have one heck of a shop according to what you told me here!

That is impressive Serge. Hey, did I notice that you taped your side braces for the glueing, or do you just tape them to hold them until you can clamp? Either way, good ideas. If not, maybe it was just my bad eyesight. Again, that's a great looking box.

Bill

Lookin' great, Serge! And like Mario said, ain't no such thing as redundant (well, OK, maybe if you posted the exact same picture in every message in the thread..). Watching other folks build is always great.

Man, I miss actually getting around to building. Too busy right now, and a lot of stuff's simply on hold because of work and (hopefully imminent) move of guitarmaking activities to a place that actually has space for them.

Thanks folks!

Bill, yes your eyesight is still A-1!
i put pressure with my finger and apply already teared small strips of tape on the side braces, if a spring clamp is near by yeah, i'll use it too though, thanks

Mattia, hang in there, i can understand how busy you are now but it's just a delay to make you appreciate what's coming to you even more bud, thanks, i'll keep them pics coming to help motivating you!

Thanks Dave and Russell for the kind comments about me shop, if you guys saw everything i've done to that shop in a year only, it sure would take a couple of threads full of pics that i do have BTW, maybe i oughta do it one day

Serge

Looking really good, Serge. Just keep your cool and work slow and you are going to have a fine instrument.

Serge,

Looking good. As those great poets John and Macca used to sing "It's getting better all the time ... better, better, better"
